In 2008 we worked extensively with a group of 13 – 14yr old girls from Graveney School in London to uncover and explore how we can engage teenage girls in outdoor play and fitness activities. Extracts from our findings are featured below and also at ProludicSport
The MUSA concept provides unique play, sport and fitness activities that have been proven to attract girls allowing them to express themselves more freely in small groups while encouraging them to be more active.
“I’ve never been on anything like this, I enjoyed the team work and the fact that it’s quite physically demanding.”
Grace Griffin aged 13yrs
It’s also our experience that girls will master the techniques needed to use some of the more dynamic equipment quicker than boys and are encouraged to use individual pieces of equipment due to the stylish look and design.
“It’s a great informal way to exercise and the equipment doesn’t look childish, it’s much more appealing to me and my friends.”
Kellen Beck-Sliney aged 13yrs
